Paraiba Tourmlaines - Not For Your Little Sister
You know something about what we offer to our members? It just keeps getting better and better. Like in the case of our members who are enrolled in our jewelry insurance appraisal class. Now they are taking their classes out of the classroom and into the lavish home of one of our rich, yet down-to-earth benefactors.
Our benefactor, who prefers to remain anonymous, struck his riches by buying precious gemstones from Africa and Brazil and then selling them to jewelers in the United States. His years in the business led him to influence the jewelry and insurance industries to come up with very good insurance programs for expensive jewelry and gemstones. He never really thought jewelry insurance as flimsy. In fact, he even thought it was necessary for jewelry owners to insure their valuables, in case they get lost or stolen.
Not surprisingly, since he just retired from the jewelry and jewelry insurance industry, our benefactor has an extensive collection of loose gemstones and jewelry in his library. You will not be seeing any books in that library. Instead you will see jewelry pieces and gemstones being stacked on one another in glass casings.
A visit to our benefactor’s mansion will surely be a breathtaking experience for our members, especially because our benefactor has the most extensive collection of Paraiba tourmaline loose gemstones and jewelry pieces. The loose stones came from all over from the known sources of the Paraiba, from Brazil, Mozambique and Nigeria, while his Paraiba jewelry collection were handcrafted by his jeweler friends.
“I was tempted to sell them, but then I thought I’d keep them for myself. I don’t care if I keep my money waiting in those glass casings, especialy the paraiba tourmaline rings” he said.
The pioneering members of our jewelry insurance classes attested to the breathtaking view of our benefactor’s Paraiba collection.
“Absolutely amazing” were only few of the words that came out of their mouths.
The Paraiba collection is the centerpiece of our benefactor’s library. They all can be found in one large glass casing placed right at the heart of the library.
